Grab Your Summer Reading at the Raleigh City Museum’s Spring Used Book Sale

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 8, 2005) – Just in time for those lazy summer weekends at the beach, the Raleigh City Museum is hosting its fourth annual “Back to the Beach” Used Book Sale from Tuesday, May 24 through Saturday, May 28 during regular public hours. The sale, to be held in the museum’s A.J. Fletcher Foundation Gallery inside the Historic Briggs Building at 220 Fayetteville Street Mall, will feature hundreds of donated books running the full spectrum of subject matter from children’s books to romance novels, from general fiction to biographies and coffee table tomes. Also available will be a limited supply of donated videos, CDs, DVDs and cassette tapes. Most hard backs will sell for $3 and paperbacks for $1, and all proceeds will benefit the museum and its educational programs. The general public may purchase books during the following days/hours: Tuesday, May 24 through Friday, May 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. The museum will be accepting donated items for the sale through Saturday, May 21 at the reception desk during regular public hours.
