THE ART OF BUSINESS

The Art of Business is an artifact heavy display of commercial art from Raleigh’s past. With artifacts including signage, print collateral, packaging, and advertisements, museum visitors will get a glimpse of beautiful craft that went into designing the business identities of the past.
Some of the highlights will include an extensive look at former business letterheads from the 1880s to the 1940s, a large signage collection from Snakenburg the Tailor, the varied ad campaigns and packaging of Pine State Creamery, and a look at the first advertising agency to set up shop in Raleigh, The Howard Agency.
The exhibit will be on display from January 8th through March 27th in our A.E. Finley Gallery.
Please join us THIS FRIDAY for the exhibition opening reception January 8th from 6-9:00. There will be champagne, beer courtesy of Lonerider Brewery, food from Jimmy Johns, and great music by the Hotwires, so come on down and have some fun.
